So you’re a marketer right?
You market things, eh?
New marketers tend to think they have to “market” and they have to set aside blocs of time to “market.”
FAIL
Now you do need to set aside time to “market” and create content and a sleuth of other things but we live in a time where you can monetize every thing you do….. literally.
Ask yourself this question, what do I like to do online?
Maybe you talk politics in a forum, watch youtube videos, or maybe you follow some sports blogs. Whatever it is that you do, you need to monetize it.
If you participate in a forum(s) then you need to create a blog and link to it in your sig. Monetize your blog with adsense or an appropriate affiliate product and make some money. You’re not “marketing” in the dry and dull sense of the word. You’re merely monetizing your own knowledge. Since you already enjoy spending time in a particular niche when you create your niche blog you will enjoy it more and (more likely to) stick with it.

WordPress has made making a website incredibly easy. Just google it and you can setup a website in just a couple hours.
The key point of this article…. do what you love and monetize your passion. “marketing” is dry, monetizing is not.
